Our Story
1979
Perry’s Butcher Shop & Deli was opened by Bob Perry in Houston — a modest meat market that quickly became a staple of the neighborhood.
1986
By 1986, his son, Chris Perry, had persuaded him to add dining tables, which proved popular among loyal customers.
1993
After the successful expansion, Chris Perry was then inspired to open Perry’s Steakhouse & Grille ® combining palate and presentation for a unique dining experience.
2001
Perry’s Steakhouse & Grille begins opening in other Houston communities, starting with The Woodlands.
2008
Perry’s Steakhouse & Grille branches outside of the Houston suburban neighborhoods to open its first urban location in Downtown Austin.
2013
A big move, Perry’s Steakhouse & Grille opens the first location outside of The Lone Star State, beginning in Chicago, IL.
2019
Brand expansion with CARVE American Grille opening in Southwest Austin featuring live fire, eclectic menu, and a butcher room, paying homage to its butcher shop roots. CARVE American Grille
2020
Perry’s online market launches, offering our famous pork chop, steak knives, butter, and seasoning shipped to your door nationwide.
2023
Perry’s newest restaurant and bar concept, VERDAD True Modern Mexican, opened in Central Austin in December 2023. VERDAD True Modern Mexica
Present
Perry’s operates steakhouse locations across Texas and in 7 other states. Sister concepts include Perry & Sons Market & Grille, CARVE American Grille, and VERDAD True Modern Mexican.
